Cave art, dating back to 12,000 years has been discovered at Creswell Crags in Nottinghamshire, central England.  The cave art is the first ever, Ice Age cave art that has been identified as such, in England.

The cave art consists of drawings of a bison, a portion of a horse, two different ibex (wild goat), several birds, and various geometric patterns.  These drawings have been discovered over the past three months, officials from the British Heritage stated on Thursday.  They are much like the same style as the cave art found in Lascaux, France and the cave art found in Altamira, Spain.

Im sure there are still lots of things for discover..
I was in Altamiras caves once, I was very impressed with the quality of that primitive art, its amazing antiquity and the materials used like painting: blood, coal, bones..
